Overview
Flame is a music platform that combines the best social media elements with music content from the world's up-and-coming artists. In this space, artists and fans can directly share their latest discoveries and what they are listening to with their followers.
As the sole UX/UI designer, I worked directly with the founder to design an iOS app that helps artists share their music and connect with fans. The project focused on clear navigation, an engaging interface, and a simple way for users to discover and share new tracks.
The Feed allows you to share your latest musical finds and current listening experiences directly with your followers, which allows you to foster a vibrant community of music enthusiasts. Through the Activity tab, you gain insight into the musical preferences of your favorite artists and friends, while the Flames tab provides direct access to the music being shared by those you follow. Both tabs allow for easy track integration with your personal library.
When you flame a track, it's automatically added to your library, where you can enjoy listening to it, mark it as a favorite, and organize it into personal and public playlists. You also have the ability to create “Groups” where you can add not only singles, but also albums, other playlists, and even other groups.
Listen to the Radio
Flame Radio offers two distinct modes: Spark and Lit. In Spark mode, you have the power to either flame a song or extinguish it. Flaming a song adds it to your library, and extinguishing it skips the music to the next track. With active participation from the Flame community, collective votes shape the next rising stars.
In Lit mode, on the other hand, you can stream music from your and your followers playlists as well, so you can create a dynamic and collaborative listening experience.
Connect with Others
The profile page highlights the activity of the people and artists you follow so you can keep up-to-date on what's happening within your own music community.
